The first thing you need to do is make your canvas that you are
going to be working on a darker colour than the default.
To do this you need to go to
File~Preferences~General Program Preferences
Click on the Transparency header and make your desired changes.
It is advisable to choose a darker colour.
I also prefer to use the larger grid.

Once you have OK'd this, open your new transparent canvas.
For this tube I used 500x500.
Copy and paste your picture .

If you have a large white background follow the following steps:
You need to select your magic wand

Click on the white area of your picture so that the 'little ants' are marching.
Then hit delete.
Please note on busier backgrounds this action wont work as well,
and you would have to go straight to the next step.

OK..the next step!
Select your lasso tool which is above the magic wand
and choose these settings.

Now go to View, Zoom in..and zoom 2 or 3 times
till you feel comfortable.
Carefully start clicking around the outline of your picture,
a small area at a time to avoid mistakes.
Join your 'ant line' to the start to make a 'circle'.

(a handy tip is to bring your line just inside
the original line to avoid any straggly bits)
Move your cursor into the middle of your selected
area and move the area to the side a tad then delete.

Continue this process until all the original
background has been deleted

Some people find doing the left-hand side a lot easier than the right.

My suggestion is to do your left-hand side then Image, Mirror.

That way the right has now swapped and still easy to do.

View normal viewing and check that
no area has been missed.
Providing you are happy with your result,
you now need to save your work!
File~Save as~
Then choose where you want to put your new tube
and give it a name, and save as a psp image.

and that is it...your tube is finished and ready to play with!
