OK, a few of you have asked how to make the pages for MSN groups. So here is a Tutorial explaining how..from beginning to end lol Its a long tut, but a very easy process, so bear with it ok. You need to download this programme 20/20
Tubes and brush here
Printer Friendly Version
Tubes used © OutlawByDesign http://www.outlawsdesign.com
OK, open your tube of choice or you can use the ones I have supplied.
Duplicate twice and close the original for future use.
On one of your duplicated images,
go to your layer palette and duplicate the layers 3 times.

Move each layer so that they overlap each other.
Now you can add Drop Shadow to each layer if you wish...
sometimes I do sometimes I dont lol.
Layers, Merge all flatten.
Edit, Copy.
Open 20/20 Edit, Paste as new image.
Look along your tabs and select the tab marked Image

then click the icon for Seamless Tile

Edit, Copy
Back to PSP
Edit, Paste as new image.
Save a jpg and name it as your first tile.
Open the tile template and
again duplicate twice closing the original.
Using your flood fill,
select a colour from your tube and fill this tile.
Now, its up to you if you want to leave it plain
or add a texture to it.
There are a few filters that are good for textures
besides the built in one of PSP,
my favourite is Filters Unlimited 2.
However, for this one I used the ones built in with PSP
Effects, Texture, Texture

OK, now again we need to take this into 20/20 to make it seamless,
allow the same procedure as before.
Save this as a jpg and name it.
Select your strip template,
duplicate and flood fill with a contrasting colour
OR
Selection tool and select a small area of contrast from your tube
Edit, Copy and paste into 20/20 again...
Take it back into PSP once you have made it seamless.
Flood fill, locate pattern and
find your new image set to 100 and fill your strip

OK, now your last tile image...
flood fill this with a light contrast from your tube.
I used #E1DAB7 again,
this is all personal taste and what you think looks right,
plain texture
OR
New Raster layer
Select your brush tool
Find a brush that you like
(or the one I have provided)
set it to a darker colour size 50.
I used #B8B899
Add your brush and then
reduce the opacity on this layer to 50

Layers, Merge flatten..
Again take it to 20/20.
You know the routine by now eh lol
This is your last tile and save this as a jpg too.
OK, select your duplicated tube.
Resize it to approx 70-85
depending on the size you want.
Add your drop shadow of choice.
Add your text. layers merge visible.
Edit, Copy
Now Open Animation Shop.
Edit , Paste as new animation.
File, Optimization Wizard.
Click Next
Then on the customize button you need to
choose your Partical Tansparency button
Under the colour bit change it to the
background colour you just used for your light coloured tile
in this case #B8B899
Click OK
then next next next etc til it finishes.
Save this as your header.

OK, thats all your images sorted.
Go to your MSN group and Pictures,
create an album for your tiles.
Open that album and click Add Photos.
(if MSN asks you to install a picture editor or something then do it!)
Find your file you saved your images in
and select the images you want to load.
Click Upload when you have them all selected.
Right now you need to open another windows session,
so that you have 2 windows open.
In this new window go to your selected group
and open a new discussion.
Click the box that say Use Plain Text Editor.
In your other window, copy a 5 border code
You can download the text of the codes HERE

Paste this into your msg box you have just opened.
Go back to your other window and
open your album you have just placed your pictures into.
Click to open the picture you want as your bottom layer.
Right click and select properties.
Highlight and copy the URL

Back to your msg box and find the script that says "bottom layer".
Highlight inside the speech marks right click and paste.

For layers 2 and 4,
copy and paste the URL from your strip tile inside the speech marks for "2nd layer" etc
For layer 3 copy and paste the URL from your darker tile.
The top layer is your light tile.
Once you have pasted all the URLs for the layers,
Click the Use Plain Text box again to go back to your normal page.
Now you can add your header and
any other images you may have made.
Click the icon that you would normally use to add a picture.
On the left hand side you will see a list of your groups.
Select the group where you have your album,
Select that album
You will see all your images on the right hand side.
Click the image you want to insert Add Photos.

The rest as they say is entirely up to you! Have fun
