Motion Of The Ocean Text

This was written in PSP 9 but can be done in other versions.

Tube © Outlaw By Design

Open transparent canvas 500 x 500
Flood Fill white.
Open your tube and copy and paste
as a new layer onto your canvas.
Images, resize

Adjust sharpness, unsharp mask

Open your Filstrip tube and paste as a new layer.
Move this layer beneath your mermaid.
You can X out your mermaid layer for the timebeing.

On your filmstrip layer, Selections, Select All,
Selections, Float

Open your water jpg, copy, then paste into selection.
Use your colour to target tool to add some
contrasting colour from the mermaid.

Selections, Select None.
Edit, Copy, Edit, Paste as new Image.
With this new image, select your crop tool and
cut a rectangle out from the middle.

Edit, copy, Edit, paste as new image.
On one image
Image, Add border.
Border width 2, colour white and symmetric.

On the other image
Layers new raster layer,
Add Text.
Colour white.

Add Drop Shadow

Now on your layer palette reduce the opacity to 80
and change your blend mode to Hard Light

Merge visible ~ this is your banner done for now.

The 1st image with the border now,
copy and paste as new layer
onto your filmsrtip canvas.

On your main canvas now.
Select the filmstrip layer and
Duplicate using your layer palette
Image, Flip
Select your deformation tool
Make the top edge of the duplicate meet
the bottom edge of the original
Then using the two bottom corner nodes,
hold down your Control key and drag the corners out.

Then drag the middle bottom node up
to get the picture back onto your canvas.
Now grab your Freehand tool set like so

Roughly draw an edge along the bottom of the flipped fil layer like so

Then press Delete a few times.
Selections, Select None.
Change the opacity on this layer to 50

Un hide your mermaid.
And Add drop shadow same as before.

Layers new layer and add your text again,
same as above, same opacity and blend mode.
DO NOT MERGE YOUR LAYERS!

Right, open Animation Shop.
Copy your small banner with your name on it
and paste as a new animation.
Effects, Insert Image Effect
Choose the Underwater Effect

Click Customize to adjust your waves to your liking.

Click ok when u are happy...you should now have 18 frames.
Back to PSP and your canvas.
Un hide your mermaid layer and your text layer.

For the other layers, merge visible, edit, copy
and then paste into AS as a new animation.
Edit, Copy, Edit, Paste After Current Frame
continue this til you have 18 frames
(or the same amout as your banner)
Click your banner, Edit, Select All, Edit, Copy
Click your background image, Edit, Select All,
Edit, Paste Into Selected Frame
Position your banner inside the white box.

Go back to PSP, unhide your mermaid, and copy,
paste as new animation in AS
Copy and make her into 18 frames also.
Select All, Copy
Your animation, Edit, Select All,
Edit, Paste into Selected Screen
and position her where you are happiest.
Repeat this procedure with your text from PSP.

To make the movement seem smoother.
Go to your 1st frame click it and hit Delete.

If you feel you need to crop your image...
Edit, Select All
Select the crop button and crop to your liking.
Save as a gif.
